the "who's the father" sign was outside of my bedroom window for a few months.  a funny thing to see first thing every morning.  i love this faded "free parking" sign in contrast to the "towing enforced all all times" sign.  old austin meets new austin.  now you never know if you're going to get towed or not.  you could be at the nails place getting your nails done and then pop over to crystal works only to come out and find your car's been taken to Buda, Texas.  see, you've parked in the nails parking space, you should have moved to the crystal works parking space if you wanted to go to crystal works.

this has happened to me, but substitute 'einstein's bagels' for 'nails', 'tower records' for 'crystal works', and 'scooter' for 'car'.
