On my porch last night I took pity on this cute declawed kitty. It was meowing too loudly to ignore. I took it to the vet today to have it checked out and discovered that it had a microchip! Being declawed, and clean despite a night of fighting I knew he belonged to somebody. I knew the owner would be pleased to find her cute cat was OK. I went ahead and paid the vet bill for its upper respitory infection and proceeded to look for the owner. When I found the owner I found the craziest chick I ever met. When I told her I found her cat that had run away she accused me of calling her a bad owner. What?! If someone found Mr.Kitty I don't think I'd act like a victim, I think I'd act like a girl who's cat has just been found...
So eventually she did come over to get her cat and reluctantly paid the vet bill, assuring me that she had lots of money (why?). But that is the last time I take in a stray of any kind! I've paid my karmic kitty dues.

I must mention that my problems today were not half as bad as my friend Kay's problems. While student teaching, one of her kids called in a bomb threat that evacuated Del Valle High School for three hours! Luckily these are not the sort of problems I have teaching one year olds.
